Years past, families could get high
quality meat directly from a local farm.
Ordering a side of beef or a lamb each
fall was a healthy and delicious tradition.
The freezer was full, and a family could
enjoy delicious steaks, roasts, lamb
chops, or ground beef for months.
Sadly, as agriculture has become industrialized,
personal connections to farmers have become
very rare. The direct purchase meat option
almost disappeared.
Now PastureDirect has brought this American tradition back!
We at PastureDirect are Minnesota family farmers
dedicated to the natural tradition of raising,
feeding, and finishing beef and lamb on pasture.
We have enjoyed our first two weeks at the Mill City Farmer's Market. Each Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm June 25 through
October 21,2006 we will be at the Mill City Farmers Market
just west of the new Guthrie Theater near the Mill City Museum and the Stone Arch Bridge. We have beef, lamb, chicken and eggs.
See you there.
